Tammy Abraham could join Swansea on loan in the next week

Abraham signed a new five-year deal with parent-club Chelsea ahead of the loan move.

At one point it did seem that the striker could be moving up to the North East, but Abraham will be hooking up with former Chelsea Assistant Manager turned Head Coach Paul Clement down in South Wales.

Abraham, 19, spent last season on loan at Bristol City where he scored 26 goals, 23 of them in the Sky Bet Championship. Hopefully I can do the same at Swansea. I know it was a hard season for them at times, but you could see that they always try and play nice football.

"I'm really excited, " Abraham told the official Swansea website. When teams play good football, it tends to create chances for the striker.

Abraham was tied down to a five-year contract by the English champions on Tuesday, with a temporary switch to Swansea secured in a bid to aid his development.

Swansea's newest addition was also part of Aidy Boothroyd's recent England U21 side as they made it to the semi-finals of the UEFA European Championship.

Mesa's pass-completion rate of 91.4 per cent was ranked as the fourth highest in LaLiga last season.

Abraham became the first ever Bristol City player to scoop all three of the club's end-of-season awards when he was crowned player of the year, young player of the year and top goal scorer. Llorente has been linked with a move to none other than Chelsea, while Baston looks set to join Malaga on loan.
