UFC Veteran Tim Hague Dead After Sustaining Head Injury In Boxing Match

Although Hague had 34 pro MMA fights, his bout with Braidwood was a boxing match for the KO Boxing promotion.

Tim Hague suffered a brain injury after he was knocked out by opponent and former Edmonton Eskimos player, Adam Braidwood, during a KO Boxing event at the Shaw Conference Centre.

But in the second round of the contest, Braidwood delivered a brutal left-right combination that sent Hague crashing to the canvas.

Tim is now in a coma.

Neil said in her statement that Hague's immediate family is now with him, and that they are asking for prayers and privacy at this terrible and hard time. Hague entered the bout with Braidwood with a 1-2 overall record and was knocked out in December.

As previously explained, Hague signed with the UFC in 2009 in the midst of a 4-fight win streak that saw him win the King of the Cage Canada heavyweight championship.
