Indian team avoides Vijay Mallya at charity event hosted by Virat Kohli

Vijay Mallya mocks media coverage on his presence in India vs Pak match, says 'intend to attend all matches'

Intend to attend all Champions Trophy games to cheer Indian team, says Vijay Mallya

Well, Mallya recently tweeted that he will also attend India-Sri Lanka and South Africa later in the week. "I intend to attend all games to cheer the India team", Mallya tweeted.

Besides Mallya, all the members of the Indian team, including Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh among others were present at the event.

Vijay Mallya who has unpaid debts of over Rs 9000 crores owing to the now defunct Kingfisher Airlines fled to the United Kingdom a year ago.

What is interesting that Vijay Mallya used to be the owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore captained by Virat Kohli.

Not just that, but his presence compels the Indian team to leave early so that they don't run into him at the function.

Saul: United target Griezmann important but no one is above Atletico
He knows since March who I want, what I want and how much I want", Mourinho told Sky Sports in Monaco, where he will be watching Sunday's Formula One race.

Although Mallya attending Indian matches is something we can understand, but the special appearance at Kohli's charity event and that too without being invited is something we can't digest.

Kohli has been closely associated in charity activities while also starting the Virat Kohli foundation to raise funds for kids a while back.

Why not? It was a function directly connected to Virat Kohli and security could have easily requested Mallya to recuse himself since his presence was a hindrance. But typically what happens at the charity dinner is that someone who has bought a table is entitled to invite his guests.

Mallya had already been photographed watching India's Champions Trophy opener against Pakistan from the stands earlier in the day. "And nearly everyone, except our captain who was host of the event, left the scene", a senior BCCI official told DNA. "It was an unavoidable situation as one couldn't have possibly asked him to leave", the source said.
