To say that Time Warner's (TWX) Warner Bros. division has had a mixed start with its DC Extended Universe would be kind.
How fitting is it that those two films helped lead the way for what comic book movies are like now in this decade?
Assuming Wonder Woman does well (the film has a 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a good sign), Jenkins says she's ready to return along with Gadot. Wonder Woman vs. the JLA would be an event movie in the superhero genre to be sure. They never really talk about-because it doesn't exist in Wonder Woman's world.
Wonder Woman is now playing in theaters. Gadot does an incredible job of making it believable that she truly is a warrior princes.
After 19 superhero films starring men, what did moviegoers think of a female-fronted flick?
As Wonder Woman, Gadot is entirely the anchor of the film. Last year's superhero epic Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice holds the number one spot with $166 million for its opening weekend followed by Suicide Squad at $133 million.
Or maybe Wonder Woman 2 is still completely in flux.
If "Wonder Woman" does indeed put DC back on the right path (and judging by initial reviews, it does that in spades), then Warner Bros. and DC can get to work on the rest of the series, many of which will have fans salivating. The movie is a treatise about a strong character ... a strong protagonist finding her mission in life, and realizing she doesn't need to sacrifice her views to save the world. In this story, while visiting her homeland of Themyscira, Wonder Woman learns from an oracle that an ancient evil will rise up and destroy the League. She revealed in the same article that the sequel will see modern day Diana Prince, as we saw a bit in Batman V Superman and Wonder Woman. "This time around, we did a lot of adjustments because I had to wear it for six months, six days a week, every week, so I had to feel really comfortable in it and be able to perform and move and fight". While Gadot's boobs aren't as big as some of us may have hoped they would be (perhaps it might be better in 3D?), she is excellent at playing Diana, who is stupid.
Thousands pack streets of Huddersfield to celebrate promotion
If you look at the players we have, I think they have done very well to finish third in the league and then to reach this final. So, now its time to rest and get ready for the 2017-2018 season, time to improve, reflect and get where we want to be.
