Jason Dufner shoots 65 co-leads after Round 1 of Memorial Tournament Keyur Khamar PGA TOUR

Considering that Dufner gave away a five-shot lead in just five holes Saturday, and that Summerhays had a front-row seat to watch him do it, the 54-hole leader is aware his three-shot cushion doesn't mean much. Graeme Storm (68) and Max Orrin (73) of England and Benjamin Hebert (71) of France were three shots back.

David Lingmerth and Jason Dufner opened with impressive 7-under 65s Thursday to take the first-round lead at the Memorial Tournament.

Calm as ever, Dufner was mostly pleased with taking the stress out of his putting by not having any tough par putts.

Five shots back to start the day, Summerhays made up that deficit in five holes, when his playing partner, the 36-hole leader Jason Dufner, imploded nearly immediately. He had only two pars on the back nine. "He had two fantastic days".

"I did everything pretty well", said Dufner.

But at least he was still in the game.

The first two put him in the record book. "I really love the greens", said the Swede.

Coming off a ninth-place finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson and 12th-place finish at the Dean & Deluca, Kuchar will enter the final 18 holes just threeshots off the pace now that he's at 10 under following a five-under 67.

Bubba Watson (68) and Justin Thomas (69) are level with Dufner at nine under, while Rickie Fowler (72) is a shot further back.

Jordan Spieth was right in the mix until catching a downhill lie in the bunker left of the par-3 eighth.

North Korea claims the missile is a new type of rocket, capable of carrying a large nuclear warhead. Yesterday the United Nations Security Council condemned North Korea's recent missile tests .

Birdies in three of his final five holes saw Dufner move to 14 under and beat the previous halfway best at the tournament by a shot.

Spieth, one of six top-10 players in action at Muirfield Village, enjoyed another encouraging day after returning to form in his home state of Texas last week. "Any time you have a chance on the PGA Tour is a thrill". Another dry day, and anything can happen.

Lydia Ko will relinquish her world No. 1 ranking Sunday, ending an 84-week reign at the top of women's golf.

Day is tied for 27th with fellow Australian Adam Scott, who carded a 71.

"I consistently put myself in good spots around the greens and was able to roll a few in". Kim won the Reignwood LPGA Classic late past year in China for her fourth tour title.

Moriya Jutanugarn, Jeong Eun Lee, Jenny Shin and Jennifer Song were tied for second, and Paula Creamer, Pornanong Phatlum and In-Kyung Kim followed at 66.

Johnson was the biggest name to miss the cut, joined by rising Spanish talent Jon Rahm, who bowed out early for just the second time since turning pro a year ago.

He ended with a three-shot lead. His best result this year was at the end of April at the China Open, a tie for fourth.

Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark, who eagled the par-5 9th, was two strokes behind after a 70.
