LeBron James breaks Michael Jordan's playoff scoring record

In Act 2, the Cavaliers rose from an impossible 3-1 Finals hole - exactly as you'd expect a trilogy to script the climax of its second movie - to stun a Warriors team that was gleefully standing on Cleveland's grave, so sure they were about to punctuate a league-record 73-win season with a title.

Now, the trilogy is set, and it might continue going into next season.

"I've twisted my ankle so many times that plays like that, you have two choices, either you can sit there and kind of wallow in the sorrow of you twisting your ankle or capture the moment", Irving said.

"But people may want to be careful, because I think right now you're witnessing greatness". No team from that conference without LeBron James on its roster has reached the Finals since midway through Barack Obama's first term as President, in 2010. "If that's not your mindset, I guess you screwed yourself".

Live streaming for Cavaliers-Celtics Game 5 is available via Watch TNT. "I want to win a championship and being so close to getting to the Finals, that makes you want it that much more".

While he did also pass Michael Jordan for the most postseason points in National Basketball Association history, his historic Finals streak may be even more astounding. Cleveland won by one point on Christmas Day and Golden State prevailed by 35 points on January 16. Jordan was in his rearview mirror and still James deflected the attention like a kick-out to an open shooter in the corner. Irving flew in for an offensive rebound, dished to LeBron for a one-handed slam. So that's the thing that I've gotta trust in them about is just being patient and not rushing anything.

Who's betting against James tying Russell's mark next season?

Former FBI Director James Comey agrees to testify before Senate Intel Committee
The document was read to Times reporters by one USA official and was confirmed by a second official. Which, actually, might have been a semi-defensible reason to let Comey go.

But he finally conceded in a nod to the significance of the milestone. I wore black and red shoes with white socks. "It's a tribute to what I've been able to do with this game". Same for Michael Jordan and Karl Malone or Jerry West and Bill Russell. "So I didn't think I could be Mike". "I just have to keep going and figure out what I've got do to come back at the highest level possible". He is the first player to lead his team to the Finals in seven consecutive years since Boston's Bill Russell did it eight in a row from 1959-66.

James, arguably the premier player in the game, leads a Cavs side that features the sublime talents of Australian-born, but USA loyal, point guard Irving and sharpshooting big man Love.

"It has nothing to do with passing the rings, passing the points, passing MVPs", James said.

James also described his pursuit of Jordan's impeccable legacy in the sport as a "personal goal of mine" on Thursday.

It's a big win for James, who wears the number 23 for Jordan. "It doesn't matter to me". James entered the night at 5,960 and now has 5,989 and counting. The Cavaliers finished the opening quarter with a 16 point lead, up 43 - 27; with 43 being a franchise record in the playoffs for most points in any quarter. And though the playoff scoring record is now his, he's also chasing Johnson and John Stockton in the all-time postseason assists category. Celtics coach Brad Stevens recently revealed that Thomas played through the injury during the critical Game 7. "Their thing is just about being patient, letting the body heal on its own and then we go from there". This doesn't make sense, right?

"The Warriors deserve to be a pretty good favorite, but it's no gimme", South Point sports book director Chris Andrews said.

With the unblemished Warriors waiting, James opted to douse them in accolades rather than cast any barbs. "Taking it day by day, and whatever happens within the next 4-6 weeks, then we go from there and attack that as is".
