Mark Hamill: Carrie Fisher Star Wars tribute is 'therapy'

17 April 2017, 05:11 | Muriel Sparks

A new breathtaking teaser has also been released, featuring a glimpse of Mark Hamill as the one and only Jedi master Luke Skywalker.

We see Rey's hand making rock particles that defy gravity and dance using the Force.

The single shot, from behind, shows her standing at a console with a holographic star map displayed in front of her - quite possibly the reverse of the shot of her with Rian Johnson and crew. After all, Fisher will only be featured in "Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi".

"He was probably confused because we finished everything in 'Eight, ' and Carrie is absolutely phenomenal in the movie". It could also explain that Anakin-like pained expression she has throughout the trailer... "It was nearly as if we were cuddling our Princess again!"

"It's so much bigger", the voice says.

The movie is not out until December 15, hence there's still a lot to learn about the story. And we learned things we had no idea that we even wanted to know.

Russia: Putin Explained to Tillerson Why Relations Have Deteriorated
Dmitry Peskov on Thursday said that the tone of the meeting had been "fairly constructive". According to the AP, Lavrov accused the US of launching an unlawful attack against Assad.

In the trailer alone, you've got those new ships speeding along the desert, then there's the Millennium Falcon doing its customary fly-by.

And best of all, there seems to be a massive-looking space battle involving several large-sized Resistance ships. They went years without seeing each other, but reuniting for The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi allowed them to "reset" their friendship.

Asked if Luke could possibly turn to the Dark Side, Hamill said, "It's possible".

They said in a statement: "We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher's performance as Princess or General Leia Organa".

The energy in the room was electric as we neared the panel's end and the group revealed the teaser poster for "The Last Jedi" (which we all received walking out of the hall afterward) immediately followed by the movie's very first trailer.

Has he gotten an epiphany that the Jedi were causing the imbalance in the Force? This still doesn't necessarily mean that Leia will die in The Last Jedi. There is a screen where players can see a symbol of the Galactic Empire on the right of the pilot's helmet, which apparently refers to the Inferno Squad.
