Warriors won't limit Kevin Durant (knee) in Saturday's return

Kevin Durant makes return on Saturday

Kevin Durant to play Saturday against Pelicans

On Thursday afternoon, we learned that Kevin Durant has been cleared to practice, and that the Warriors "anticipated" that he would return on Saturday against the Pelicans.

Durant has been sidelined 19 games after suffering a Grade 2 left MCL sprain and tibial bone bruise against the Washington Wizards on February 28. Durant returned to practice Friday and experienced no issues with his knee.

The Pelicans made a big move to acquire DeMarcus Cousins at the trade deadline, but it wasn't enough to push them over the top, as they'll miss the playoffs for the second-straight year. The Warriors are probably going to be without their superstar signal caller against the New Orleans Pelicans because of a knee contusion. The question is how teammates will respond to having him back in the fold. It only helps, of course, that Durant has already played 59 games with Golden State.

Who will score for the Pelicans? . At 65-14, the team is now 4.5 games clear of the San Antonio Spurs, who are going to play as the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. Ex-Warrior Jordan Crawford (13.8 points per game) is also a capable scorer. Golden State went 15-4 over that span. "But they did a great job of every single day just chipping away".

United Kingdom government cuts stake in Lloyds to 1.97%
Lloyds Banking Group plc is a provider of financial services to individual and business customers in the United Kingdom. UK Financial Investments, which manages the taxpayer's shares in Lloyds, reduced the holding by about 1% to 1.97%.

Coach Steve Kerr said Durant, who scrimmaged in a 5-on-5 situation, has no minute limitations because his knee is fully healed. "Obviously, when you get banged up in that area, it's going to take you some time for you mentally to feel like everything's all right, so today was one of those days where I went out there and played, practiced with the guys and I felt normal".
