IIM-Ahmedabad and IIM-Bangalore have switched positions in the top management institute list.
Six Delhi University colleges have made it to the list of top 10 colleges in the country under a national ranking released by the HRD ministry, with Miranda House being ranked at number one. Following is the list of the colleges that made the Top 100. From the sources it has been revealed that 2,735 educational institutions have participated in this year's process as against last year's 3,563 participants.

IISc figured at the top in "Overall" and "Universities" categories. NIRF was launched on 29th September 2015 which was approved by MHRD. IIM Bangalore, last year's best management institute, obtained the second highest points. It is a framework whose responsibility is to come with a set of outlines in order to rank the institutions across India.
THE UNIVERSITY of Mumbai has failed to feature in the top 100 universities listed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

Javadekar hailed both JNU and JU for their contribution to research work and said the rankings were aimed at creating a competition for the educational institutes to strive for excellence.
