Cattle that fled St. Louis slaughterhouse given reprieve

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, who has some wild photos of the police chase, reports the animals escaped through an unsecured door at the Star Parking Co about 1 p.m. Thursday. News 4 reported that a herd of cattle escaped from star packing company, located in the 3800 block of Cote Brilliante.

A heifer bursts through an iron fence Thursday at the Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Louis. Officers were seen holding tranquilizer rifles.

A small herd of cattle ran through the streets of St. Louis, Missouri Thursday after breaking free from a slaughterhouse. Police eventually rounded them up in several different areas of the city.
