Kim Kardashian West says she "mentally prepped" herself to be raped while being held at gunpoint during a Paris jewellery heist previous year.

In the episode that covered the Paris Fashion Week and her robbery, Kim can now be seen describing the experience herself, saying she was sure she was going to be raped.

"It was really hard for me when the police started to show up, because they were dressed in the same uniforms, except for the face masks", Kim told her sisters Kourtney and Khloe on last Sunday's episode.

In the actual episode Kim revealed that she believed she was going to be raped and killed on the night of her Paris robbery.

She can't live without her family, she says, and looks up to her mom, who taught her to treat others how she wishes to be treated. Later in the interview , she also reveals that people may be surprised to learn "how much [she] love [s] depressing things".

The "Selfish" author went on to detail how she was afraid they were going to shoot her in the head and anxious how her sister Kourtney would deal with seeing her dead upon her return.

Kim also talks of how the robbers must have been following her in Paris and saw the "window of opportunity" to act when she was alone in her apartment (her then-bodyguard Pascal Duvier had been on security detail with Kourtney and Kendall Jenner at a club that night). "They had this window of opportunity and just went for it". After this experience, Kim changed her focus and once again is putting her marriage and her two children first, which of course is a positive thing. The reality star is said to have got a lot of support from her husband to help her recover from the trauma. They then grabbed her in the hallway of the stairs.

"I had a split second in my mind to make this quick decision".

"I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs". "Am I going to run down the stairs and be shot in the back?" "It makes me so upset to think about it", she said.

The episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs on E! in the United Kingdom on Sunday.
