The sole woman on Uber's board repeatedly emphasized that, going forward, there would be "zero tolerance for anything but totally respectful behavior in an equitable workplace environment". Before joining Uber, Jeff was the chief marketing officer of Target Corp, and he was credited with modernizing the retailer's brand. Kalanick also made a hasty exit from a business advisory panel for President Donald Trump after a consumer boycott campaign fueled by concerns that he was aiding a leader with divergent values.

"If Uber truly cares about "growing up" and listening to drivers, they should start by adding a tipping option", said Ryan Price from the Independent Drivers' Guild, an organisation that represents ride-sharing workers in NY.

Some of those structures include new training for Uber's managers, 61 percent of whom have had no prior managerial experience, Huffington said. Earlier in March, Kalanick admitted he had to "grow up" after a heated argument with a driver was caught on video.

Last month, Uber's embattled chief executive Travis Kalanick was recorded arguing with a driver about falling fares.

Huffington clearly thinks the publication took her out of context.

Employers Can Ban Headscarf, Other Religious Symbols At Work, Rules EU Court
The European Court of Justice has ruled that companies can ban employees from wearing headscarves and any other religious symbols. The decision was widely welcomed in a country where the separation of state and religion is a central part of its legal system.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder is leading the investigation, which has faced criticism for relying on insiders - Holder has done work on behalf of Uber in the past, and Huffington is a board member.

"After we announced our intention to hire a COO, Jeff came to the tough decision that he doesn't see his future at Uber."

"The focus of the company has been on the business and not the employees", she told reporters.

- And Rachel Holt, who heads Uber's US and Canada operations and will address ways in which Uber plans to improve the driver experience.

The story's headline is now: "Arianna Huffington: Sexual harassment isn't a "systemic problem" at Uber", with an editor's note at the bottom that says, "The headline of this article has been changed to more accurately reflect that Huffington's answers were about sexual harassment".
