WATCH LIVE: April the Giraffe showing 'major changes' as she gets closer to giving birth at New York zoo

The birth of April's fourth calf was still pending as of Thursday, when the live video had about 115,000 people looking in.

Worldwide animal sensation April the pregnant giraffe is "growing" even more and her keepers were able to feel the baby moving in her belly, the upstate NY zoo that's been monitoring her health and updating her millions of fans said in a daily update. A viewer took a photo of April that showed, "There is no doubt momma and calf are progressing and growing".

Dobby, a male giraffe, was born at 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Denver Zoo. The feed has totaled more than 15 million views on YouTube as people around the world check on April's condition.

"It's insane", park owner Jordan Patch said of the attention.

"We observed breeding behaviour in about mid-October (2015)". Cycles are every 17 days, so maybe 17 days past what we thought was the due date.

The stream, however, was briefly taken down when animal rights activists flagged it as "sexually explicit", according to the park.

The video stream's chat window has served as a portal for updates as well as education, which supports the mission of the park, Patch said. The zoo also warned fans of fake livestreams and websites selling giraffe-related merchandise.

Zookeepers did not know until recently that the mother, Kipele, was pregnant since she was on birth control, CBS Denver reports.

Dobby is the first giraffe birth at the Denver Zoo since October 2010. During the first two years of his life, he'll grow to be nearly 12 feet tall - and could grow to 17 feet! The baby giraffe measured 5-feet-tall and weighed 73 pounds.

However, when that will be is anyone's guess.
