Issue of Crimea's status was not discussed during the phone conversation between Russian and U.S. Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in late January, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on February 15.
"No, [the issue] was not raised", Peskov told reporters.
The Kremlin and the White House confirmed that Putin and Trump agreed to hold regular dialogue and start preparations for a personal meeting. The two recently had a phone conversation, seen by many in Moscow and in Washington as a "good start, " and a significant shift from the rhetoric of the previous USA administration.
