Kim Jong Un's Half-Brother Reportedly Killed in Malaysia

Murder of Kim Jong Un’s half-brother will strain Pyongyang Beijing relations

The arrest came around 24 hours after news broke of the death of Kim Jong-Nam, with reports saying female assassins had sprayed toxins in his face at the airport.

It makes sense why people believe North Korea orchestrated this killing.

"It seems assured that the person who was killed was Kim Jong Nam", said Jeong Joon-hee, the South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman.

Yoji Gomi, the author of " My Father, Kim Jong Il, and I: Kim Jong Nam's Exclusive Confession' told the Telegraph in 2012 that Kim felt suffocated by Chinese agents who he didn't know if they were protecting him or monitoring him.

Speaking to the Financial Times, Bong Youngshik, a North Korean expert at Yonsei University in Seoul said if it were proven Pyongyang had orchestrated the assassination, it would mean Kim Jong-un "has absolute control over every nook and cranny of the North Korean system".

CCTV pictures taken from #Malaysia airport showing one of the two women suspected to have killed Kim Jong Nam, half-brother of Kim Jong-Un. After trying to visit Disneyland in Toyko, Nam was expelled from Japan for traveling on a fake passport. Kim Jong Nam was the eldest, followed by Kim Jong Chul, who is a few years older than Kim Jong Un and is known as a playboy who reportedly attended Eric Clapton concerts in London in 2015.

AAA: Gas prices to remain steady until spring
U.S crude oil production is forecast to average 9 million barrels per day in 2017 and 9.5 million barrels per day in 2018. WTI crude closed at $53.86 on the NYMEX on Friday, up only 3 cents from last week's close, but $12.89 above one year ago.

South Korea's government has said North Korea also executed a vice premier for education in 2016 for unspecified anti-revolutionary and factional acts, and a defense minister in 2015 for complaining and sleeping during a meeting.

The NIS cited Kim Jong Un's alleged "paranoia" about his half-brother. Neither of his sisters, who are thought to be part of the North Korean government, would stand much of a chance of rising to power in the highly patriarchal country. For now, Malaysian police classified it as a case of "sudden death" and are awaiting autopsy results to decide further action, a Malaysian police official told the Telegraph. "We're taking this incident very seriously and we're keeping close tabs on the North", Hwang said. The woman was reportedly earlier seen with Kim Jong Nam.

Other reports have indicated a needle may have also been used. The post-mortem on the remains of the North Korean man reported to be the estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, has been completed.

She was carrying documents bearing the name, Doan Thi Huong, Malaysian, officials said.

South Korea's intelligence service said he had wives and children both in Beijing and Macau, according to lawmakers.

Kim Jong Nam and Kim Jong Un are both sons of former leader Kim Jong Il, who died in late 2011, but they had different mothers.
