Kim Jong-Un's Half-Brother Dies In Malaysia

TV Chosun, a South Korean cable television network, said Kim is believed to have been poisoned at Kuala Lumpur's airport by two women, who could be North Korean agents.

He also confirmed that the North Korean who died at the airport was Kim Jong-Nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

The precise details of the man's death might be hard to confirm for some time to come, if ever.

Officially, Beijing has voiced support for the North Korean succession.

In 2013, Kim Jong-un famously had his uncle Jang Song-thaek dismissed from government and executed. In 2016, however, Kim Jong-un's aunt, who has lived in the USA for almost two decades, told The Washington Post that the younger son had been designated the next leader when he was still a child.

Portly like his father and brother, and frequently photographed unshaven with his shirt tails hanging out, Kim was the heir apparent to North Korean leadership until 2001, when he was arrested in Tokyo trying to enter Japan on a false Dominican Republic passport.

USA authorities have not yet determined exactly how Kim Jong Nam was killed, according to a U.S. source. There were rumours he was protected by China, which was grooming him to take over if the Kim Jong Un regime were to collapse.

He said Seoul should "urge the Malaysian government to promptly identify the truth of the case and present it to the worldwide community". He claimed he wanted "to visit Tokyo Disneyland". Much of the news reported about North Korea-while not quite "fake news"-ends up being wrong". Up until about 2012, Kim Jong Nam was said to be, a Chinese administrative region the Week once compared to Las Vegas.

Kim Jong Nam is in his mid-40s, according to reports. His mother was Song Hye Rim, a North Korean actress who was initially Kim Jong Il's secret mistress.

The same year, Kim Han Sol sat down with former Finnish member of parliament Elisabeth Rehn to discuss his life and his unusual family for a televised interview.

The US government believes that Kim Jong-nam's death was likely the work of North Korean agents, a government source told Reuters on Tuesday.

With Kim Jong Nam out of the picture, you might assume that Kim Jong Chul, the middle son, would be the natural choice for a new heir. Kim Hong Un reportedly ordered his execution.

He has also repeatedly criticized dynastic succession in North Korea, saying the transfer of power to the third generation was "unacceptable".

"The older brother, Jong-Chul, had the warm heart of a girl", Fujimoto wrote.
